We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. No buried clauses, no surprises.
1. Who we are
Roommade is a digital studio operating at roommade.cc. When this policy refers to “we”, “us”, or “Roommade”, it means the studio behind the site. You can reach us anytime at hello@roommade.cc.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we actually need to communicate with you and improve the site.
- Information you give us directly: your name, email, company, website, and any message you send through our contact form.
- Cookie preferences: your consent choices, recorded in your browser and on our server so we honour them on future visits.
- Analytics data: only if you opt in. Page views, time on page, referrer, device type. IP addresses are anonymised before they reach Google.
- Marketing data: only if you opt in. Conversion events recorded by Meta Pixel.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiries
- To deliver the brand analysis or service you requested
- To improve our website and services (analytics)
- To measure marketing campaigns (advertising)
We never sell your data to anyone. Full stop.
4. Cookies and tracking
Our cookie banner asks you to choose which categories you accept. Three categories exist:
- Essential: required for the site to work. Always active.
- Analytics: Google Analytics. Helps us understand traffic patterns.
- Marketing: Meta Pixel. Measures advertising performance.
You can change your preferences at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
5. Sharing your information
We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf:
- Vercel: hosting
- Neon: database (form submissions, consent records)
- Vercel Blob: file storage
- Brevo: transactional email
- Google: analytics (only with your consent)
- Meta: advertising pixel (only with your consent)
Each processes data under their own privacy terms, which we expect to meet GDPR-grade standards.
6. Data retention
- Form submissions: kept until our engagement ends, then archived for up to 3 years for legal and accounting purposes.
- Consent records: kept indefinitely as proof that we honoured your choice.
- Analytics data: retained per Google’s default settings (up to 26 months).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and similar frameworks, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict processing
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Updates to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
